Trauma Therapy for ADHD, Anxiety and OCD

Move fear out of the driver’s seat and gain the confidence to live life fully.

Imagine Getting Your Life Back

Are you struggling to understand your neurodivergent brain? Do you feel stuck in anxiety, OCD, or trauma? That's a lot for one person to take on alone. When you better understand each of these interrelated parts through psychoeducation you start to better understand yourself and
learn how to….

Tolerate discomfort and trust
yourself again.

Understand yourself and
what your needs are.

Increase flexible thinking and offer yourself more than all-or-nothing options.

Integrate skills that make
your life better—and easier.

Learn to love who you are.

Take your life back from anxiety.

You have a choice: evolve or repeat old patterns that keep you stuck. Which will you choose?

How My Therapy Program Works

I work with in-person clients in Scottsdale, Arizona. While each program is tailored to the person I’m working with, we generally follow a similar format to get you from where you are to where you want to be.

All sessions are $180. I do not accept insurance.

  • Our 15-minute consult call will help us determine whether we’re the right fit for one another or not.

  • Our first 50-minute in-person therapy appointment is an intake session to determine the level of support you need and identify what assessments will be helpful for your treatment.

  • Together we create a treatment plan with your goals in mind and discuss actionable ways for us to approach healing.

  • In between our on-going therapy sessions, you’ll have homework to further your psychoeducation and healing work.

Can Trauma Therapy Help You?

I see clients for many reasons. If you’re struggling with trauma, OCD, or anxiety (or a mix of all three), you’ve come to the right place. Here are some of the common challenges my clients work through with trauma therapy:

Attaching meaning to thoughts, feelings, and sensations

Avoidance in thoughts, feelings, situations, people

Looking to others for constant reassurance

Unable to be in the present moment

Lack of confidence or low distress tolerance

Struggling to make decisions or
identify your own needs

Feeling a lack of connection
and/or isolated

Lack of trust in self; feelings of hopelessness

Stuck in repetitive loops or compulsions

Meet Abby

My name is Abby Hauer. I am a licensed professional counselor (LPC). While working in a group private practice, I began to notice how many of my clients with anxiety were previously misdiagnosed. Even worse, they had been receiving the wrong treatment most of their life. I was quickly motivated to learn more—and to understand WHY this was happening.

Not only was I compelled by my clients’ experiences, but I too was misdiagnosed for decades. I received ineffective treatment and never felt truly understood by any practitioner I worked with.

My mission now is to use various modalities and psychoeducation to help people who are feeling the same way I did get the right diagnosis so they can find peace, happiness, and connection in a life that once felt difficult to live.

Modalites: ACT, ERP, CBT, DBT, Polyvagal, IFS, DBT-PE, EMDR trained
